Z1 Motorsports Suspension Reviews??

Hey guys,

I was considering getting the Z1 motorsports Suspension Package. I seen a fellow Z owner took his off because of they were "popping" and "cracking".

I need to get some camber because the inside of my track tires are toast.

Everything on the suspension is stock at the moment.

Advice on the Z1 kit?

Stick with SPC to be safe.

Just front and read control arms? Was quoted 553 for both of those shipped to me.

There are reviews of their FUCAs if you search. Ive been running their race version for a while with no issue, just need to keep and eye on the locknuts.

Sphericals transfer more nvh, and do make noise after a while. Not recommended for a daily driven vehicle.

Urethane makes noise sooner or later also, usually sooner on a daily car. Which is why some have zerks to keep them greased (which always get neglected). I tend to avoid urethane if possible.

IMO it only really makes sense to do traction arms when you are ready to go full spherical...and put in the time to dial it in, which involves time on an alignment rig.

Well it's my daily for the summer months and I have to get some camber. I had belts showing on the outside of my front tires while the insides were fine. So it needs done by next season.

Definitely go with FUCAs and rear camber arms. You may need eccentric toe washers also, but maybe not depending on your ride height. The SPC rear camber arms may actually be a decent option since they use an OEM style rubber bushing. But that said Z1 does come out with good stuff, and their value is hard to beat.

as of now i am 100% stock.

I was quoted this. . Bilstein B12 + SPC F&R Camber arms = $1385 shipped

good?

FYI, I don't want to do coilovers. I want to stick the Bilstein's on and be done.

I like it, that is the correct approach until you get more serious. I ran PSS for a good bit until upgrading. There are better track oriented options these days, but for a daily dual purpose they are great. Though I will say youll want to swap the progressive rear to linear for better handling response, eventually.

No experience with the SPC from upper arms, so I cant comment there.

I do have two set of rims and I swap back and forth on track days. BUT, I do drive 1.5 hours to the track on the track tires.

I have the Z1 complete camber kit, did the whole install at home without problem. The rears are traditional for alignment, the fronts are a PITA for the tech. If you have no plans to change your setup, Z1 will work well. If you might be changing then go with SPCs.

EDIT- you will need rear eccentric toe bolts for most kits.
