Jason's Z Meets Eibach...

1 Attachment(s)
So since my car is going to be at Hot Import Nights tonight. Yesturday I decided to throw some Eibach's on to get rid of my wheel gap. And of course this makes a perfect oppertunity to take a good before and after shot as well as offer a limited time special on Eibach 350z Coupe Springs for $202.02.

I have 31000 miles on my Z. So the stock springs have settled in a bit so it sits slightly lower then most stock Z's...

How do they feel. My Z with the stock springs was bouncy, lots of body roll on turns, and every little bump you hit you really felt. With the EIBACH's the car sits lower, less body roll, and those little bumps are barely noticed and there is no more freeway bounce. It really is amazing at how just changing the springs on this car even to TEIN or Other Spring / Coil over systems makes such a huge difference.

Here is a before shot (morning before changing springs...

With Eibach's driven around for about 20 minutes.... Eibach's will settle unlike tein's which are guarranteed not to settle...

When you change the springs, do you have any alignment problems? DId you realign? Camber issues?

1337 Mar 7, 2004 04:45 PM

How would you compare Eibach vs Nismo

Sevs2k Mar 7, 2004 04:46 PM

I will second everything that Jason said.

I just slapped on some eibachs.

Makes the car ride smoother, flatter and the bounce is gone. It looks much better too.

Worth every penny.

I did the same thing...bounce is totally gone. Mario drove my car and can attest to that. The only thing I dislike is that the initial action of the suspension is too soft for my taste....so that inital turn-in is kinda vague. But they tighten up really nicely once you enter the turn. I guess that's the trade-off. :D

Jason@Performance Mar 7, 2004 06:03 PM

Alignment... hrmm... well... It drove straight so I said forget the alignment I gotta get to Roll In.. HAHA...

But by the looks of it... Rear camber looks the same as Jeff's with the Nismo S-Tune... The car doesnt pull left or to the right, jus goes straight... Took it on some twisties today... Im happy with it...

For now, These springs got me even happier then I was with the car then before... Next (when I get money) ((which wont be for a long time)) comes rear camber and toe rods, our upper control arms, and full slam with ____________ suspension... I havent decided who's coil over to use yet... By this time I will need to replace my shocks any way.. I now have 31500 miles on my Z33...

Progressive springs= soft at turn in, unless you get progressive springs that are extremely stiff...

That can also be solved by getting some stiffer sidewalled tires, R compounds or bigger mags/less tire...

No matter what, I see the eibachs as a positive no matter how I look at them

Is there any issue fitting these (or any) springs to a Track model with stock shocks ? I wondering if there's any impact on VDC or anything ?

no issue...

I have VDC and am running the springs and the nismo wheels...

Just use the sugested tire size for the wheels...

any suspension and sway will work with VDC

Welsh 350Z N Mar 8, 2004 12:55 PM

Thanks. I just remember that the Nismo coilovers and sway bars are stated as "NOT to be used with VDC" ??? Would I have to change tire size from stock Track ?
