Tanabe springs as stiff as Eibach? will 19 x 8.5 fit front w/ 245/40's?(search down)

i got 19 x 8.5 and 19 x 9.5 sf challenge with toyo proxes 245/40 front and 275/35 rear. that is the highest front profile on 19s that i've seen here, but still needs a drop.

i think that if the tanabe springs are as stiff as the eibachs are, it should probably fit okay, from looking at other people's gaps.

opinions? i can't wait until tuesday to experiment. ...pics will follow soon though.

I haven't checked with one of those tire size calculator sites to see if or how much taller than your selected tires are, but you should know something. Any amount that a tire is over and above the oem height, it will move the tire closer to any clearence points you may have.

Here's the stiffness of the Eibachs and the Tanabe's.
First number in the Eibach spring rates is the inital rate, then when those coils bind, the final (higher) rate takes over.

Eibach 350Z 1"front 1"rear 296/384 front 316/421 rear

Tanabe GF210 Series 350Z
Spring Rate: Front 336 Rear 375
Front 1” Rear 1.2”

Tanabe NF210 Series 350Z
Spring Rate: Front 314 Rear 353
Front 1.2” Rear 1.2”

So the GF's are a bit less than 10% stiffer than oem, but not as stiff as the Eibach's peak rates.

thanks very much for the info.

so if i am reading it right ...the tanabes will be stiffer than eibach on small bumps, but on a big bump they are less stiff overall. corect?
