Cusco Zero2's installed along with Cusco sways
 

Finally got around to installing these on my car, and hvaing spent a good amount of time with them in the alst couple days, I can post a review.

Install was straightforward-took 2 of our guys about 2 hours to install the sways and coilovers.

We set rideheight pretty much the same as I had with the RS springs, if not a tad lower - about 1 inch gap between top of tire and whel well in back, and 1.5 finger gap up front.

What continually amazes me with the Cusco's we ahve done on other Z's is how quiet they are on a Z - there is zero extra noise with these compared to my stock struts and RSR springs, and I have the version with pillowball mounts. No "squish" like on the Tein's

So far, we set dampening at 3 front and back (middle of the adjustment range) - the car ride moderately firmer, but feels much less floaty through the turns.....ahhhhh the turns.

Though heavier than stock (stock ones are hollow) the net results are more than worth it - everything is much better. Quicker turn in, much less roll when pitching in for a turn, and much more confidence when powering through the turn. The whole setup works really well together.

Do the CUSCO Pillow-ball Upper Mounts require any drilling into the frame of the car? The Z is my first rear wheel drive car so this may be a dumb question. Why is it that most springs and suspension setups drop the back lower than the front? I always thought it would be better to do it the other way around.

Please inform us how your alignment turned out. Will you need different a arms etc. to align the wheels properly after installing the Cusco suspension?

If the ride height hasn't drastically changed from the last setup an alignment isn't necessary.

I did not realign yet - might ahve it checked next week when i get some time, but since we used the same basic rideheight as before, and there are no factory eccentric bolts used, the car should be still in spec.

The units went straight in - not cutting, drilling, etc of any kind.

Does the car feel more neutral now or is it more toward oversteer?

Are you going to test it on the track ? :D

It defianately does not oversteer at all if you get your lines right.

I might take it to a track day or 2 this year, but no formal plans yet - that;s what our race cars are for, this is just my daily driver :)

I was thinking if Zero2's is good for drifting..that's why I asked...



How does the car feel near the limit, still a little bit of understeer or it is neutral?

I ahve not had the car close to its limit yet, since its only been street driven
