Tein lowered with 295's
Finally got my rims and Tein Basics on today. I have 295/35 on 10.5" 18's in the rear and no rubbing. Yeah! Camber is bad though.

What kinda rims?
|
looks good, except you gotta lose those headlight things
|
|
How low did you set the coilovers?
|
Approximately 1" all the way around. I'm thinking about raising it a little to eliminate the camber problem up front. I think the backs will come out close to spec with the camber adjusted all the way.

zillinois,
Your Z is one of the coolest ones I have seen. “Clean and Mean” Well done. Az |
The rims are called Complete Custom Wheel or CCW. Its the Classic Street Model in black anodized finish. I first saw them on Underpressure's car and Performance Nissan's race cars. They are a true 3 piece rim that is very strong and light. You will find this rim on many Corvettes and Porsches that frequent the track. The rears are 18" x 10.5" and weigh 20 lbs. With the Toyos they weigh 50 lbs total per rear wheel. The fronts weigh 17 lbs each for the 18" x 9" size. With tires, the fronts are about 45 lbs. Factory rears are about 59 lbs and the fronts are about 54 lbs. So I lost about 9 lbs per wheel while increasing size to a 295/35 and a 265/35!
ccwheels PS. Don't go to www.ccwheel(s).com unless you like pictures of naked women. ;-) PPS. Thanks aalzuhair |
How is the ride with the Tein Basics? I'm not sure whether to get those or the S-tune from Nismo. I want to get rid of the bounce but I don't want the suspension too stiff. I will probably never track the car.
