there are lots of great kits out there:

AP, Stoptech, Rotora and of course Endless come to mind.

Size and specs can vary of course as does price range.

I personally run the AP 4 piston kit up front....best mod I have done to the car to date.

stoptechs can be custom ordered in their special order blue color...

i have the 4 wheel 14" stoptech brake upgrade.. i love it.. but the rear are overkill imho and you really cant drift on the rear aluminum hats (they said its not necommended w/ ebrake)

If I had to choose. I would definately go with Wilwood. The front and rear are 14" rotors with 6 piston calipers on the front and 4 piston on the rear. They also look sick!

If you are looking for black, i like AP Racing. black caliper witwh yellow AP Racing logo is so geuine of AP. Also JGTC (Japanese Grand Touring Championship GT-R runs AP
Blue? Rotora makes awesome blue calipers.
Red? Brembo and Stoptech (Stoptech always make it looks like Brembo at reasonable price in my personal opinon-pals, don't pick up fight. its just my "personal" opinion.)
Gold? stock Brembo is the genuine gold.

Hope this helps.
and i will call ya tomorrow for the car show meet.

The new Grex kits look nice, they come in gold or chrome finish. They are also reasonably priced. I would just like to know how they perform, I prefer performance over looks because my Z will be mainly used for the circuit.

If you have a lot of money to spend the Endless or Project Mu kits are damn nice.

Personally if money isn't an object get ENDLESS. But best bang for buck is either STOPTECH or AP Racing. Good luck

I had the Wilwoods 14" Front BBK for a few months and I really wasn't that impressed with them. I also found out that they fade easily when slowing down from speeds of 100 to 65 mph on the highways. I realized that they weren't capable of handling the abuse I was going to put them through and sold them off for a loss.

Right now I am installing a set of 4 Wheel 14" Stoptechs on my car this weekend and will post my impressions soon after. I can say this, the Stoptechs seem like a more complete kit and everything is stainless as compared to some of the rusted bolts that were on the caliper of the Wilwood kit. Also, there is an INSTALLATION MANUAL included with the kit with the proper torque specs, that was something that the Wilwood kit did not come with.

Does anyone else think replacing the rear brakes is overkill? I want to eventually get some type of FI on my car but i'm buying the wheels/suspension/bbk first.

From what I have heard and from my research I think I will go for the AP Racing 6 pot front and 4 pot rear BBK's.

Stoptechs, lots of research and the 4 wheel kit is meant to work together:
