New Akebono 14" Big Brake Kit for 03-08 350Z, Kits Start at $1495

These 14" 370Z kits are now ready for 03-08 350Z, 03-07 G35 Coupes, and 03-06 G35 Sedans. Brackets have been tested, and they fit perfect. Stock Brake Lines, or upgraded SS lines will work on these systems. More options for Rotors and Pads as they become available. For those guys who are planning on painting their calipers a different color, it's cheaper to buy the Infiniti Rear Setup, same calipers, just cheaper for some reason: Akebono Infiniti Setup

This is awesome! Can anyone give an objective comparison of this kit to a Stoptech kit? This kit is about half the price so even if it comes close that's pretty cool.

We are actually going to be tracking a Akebono setup on a 350Z in a few weeks here, so we'll see how well they hold up to Stotpech and other Big Brake Kits.

If these hold up decently at the track, this is the setup I'll be getting...

when you guys test this, are you gonna post the results in this thread or make a new one in the "Brakes and Suspension" forum?

what about the non touring?

and while i'm peskering you about that, what about enkei rpf1's 18x9.5+15? (wheels i'm gonna get when my tires on the stockers wear out)

lgear080 02-02-2009 07:22 AM

great pricing on this... was wondering where the kit would fall at.
gotta love a good economy of scale. hopefully this proves worthy.

I'm not sure, we only tested it on a Touring Model.

I haven't see anything on the market yet, but they are coming soon. We will have 2pc rotors ready here in about 2 weeks :)

wow, looks nice!

I just noticed there aren't any adaptor plates pictured for the rear, are they not required?

I'm interested in the comparisons as well. Are these better than the stock brembos?
