I think the Z gets awesome fuel ecomony for the performance. I was thinking long and hard about an e46 M3 until I noticed that it was a "gas guzzler" and subject to the $1,000 tax.

$45 each time I fill up 
To make matters worse I gotta fill up my G35 which has the same engine... so $90 to fill up both cars... My bike's looking pretty good about right now
