Buying new Z, questions on models.
Went to the dealership tonight to talk about trade ins and such, get a better look at the car etc...one thing I am stumped on is if I should get a base model or the enthusiast. My main question is, is the limited slip diff in the enth worth the extra money? How much of a different does it make as far as performance? The HID headlights are nice yes...but thats the only thing that concerns me about getting a base model..is the lack of limited slip...but is the extra cost worth it? Give me your opinions.
Trading in a IS 300 after only 5 months...just dosent have enough *****. Nice car though.

I was in your position back when I bought my Z . . . I leaned towards the enthusiast for the HIDs, but ended up getting a great deal on a performance model. Although I never have felt the difference, its apparent that many base owners want the LSD. If you shop some dealers, I'm sure you will find an excellent deal on an enthusiast or performance model . . . I could have bought a touring model at the same price, but it was black (no too keen on the color for summer & swirl marks) and I hate slippin' & slidin' on leather seats.
Hope that helps.

Im picking up my 350 tomorrow, its a 2003 Performance but it says it has the navigation and all that stuff and when I talked to the dealer here he said no way that would be true becasue they didnt start putting the navigation in the performance till 2004 or something like that, but the guy sent me pictures and its not an aftermarket screen. Is the dealer just trying to get me to buy from him or whats going on?

Unfortunately, the dealer should know best, but that's never the case. I'm not sure if navigation was offered in the performance models in 2003, but I guess it could have been some type of upgrade package??? Not every "performance" model has the same MSRP, so I guess it could have came with it . . .
