Do a search and you will find TONS of threads about what people paid. In fact...just go to Edmunds.com and look at the "what people are paying" prices.

I have seen some really LOW prices people paid on this forum - so LOW that I would assume almost imposible.

Some people paid OTD like 4k lower then the invoice... and so on So I would be very sceptical to posts like those.

I do sales for living - and there are 2 MAIN rules:
1) nobody will give you anything for free
2) you get what you pay for

As a rule of thumb I would tell you to base your pricing on the invoice price. Everything close is good and lower is better => but dont expect to see lower unless you are a prefered cutomer (like VPP).

All cars sold a lot under the invoice have something "extra" that people dont expose... For example: a lot of miles - should be sold as a demo not a new car and so on...

The other thing is OTD price and before-taxes-and-other-extras-price... those 2 amounts differ substantially.

To sum it up dont always belive what you read. People tend to "lower" their actual purchase price so they can create this smart-man image that screwed the dealer Dealership is not a CHARITY and they will not run a losing business.

Hope it helps... just my $.02

This seems like a good price.

What is definately a BAD Price in terms of invoice? (i.e. paying US$4000 over invoice is probably a bad deal)

Get it for around or just over Invoice. Thats a realistic and GOOD number to go by. Paying MSRP or maybe $1k less than MSRP is not, seeing as Invoice and MSRP are usually at least $2k apart...

I just picked up a left over '04 with 15 miles on it. I paid $800 under invoice AND 1% int over 5 years. After I did a calc for the same 04 vs 05... I saved at least 4Gs.
