I would also add to check and see if any of these vehicles have been purchased before. I got my 2004 Silverstone Touring 5AT after they had attempted to sell the car to someone else. That someone else could not get financed and had to bring the car back to the dealership. I ended up paying 29,765 for a car with a whopping 500 miles on it. I was very satisfied, but you may not be. I think the dude had even gotten the windows tinted before he brought it back...poor guy. I let the knuckleheads slap any old finance percentage they want on the loan...let them think they are winning one. The next day I call Navy Federal and get a loan for 4.9% and send a check to pay off the piece of crap they try to give me at the dealership. Pre-approved loans are the way to go, but I never "plan" on buying a car...just looking. I guess that is a bit impulsive, but so very fun.

Thanks for the tip. Now, should I get the 35th anniv UY which is just 30miles away or the '05 CS Touring which is 200miles away?

According to edmunds.com, the ultr yellow paint is also available for the GT model, but I haven't seen any...
Actually, Ultra Yellow is available on all 350Z models for a $500 premium.

Yup, I got the same situation today! Someone tried to get the 2004 350Z Touring, but had to bring back...WITH!!!!!! Nismo exhaust and chrome wheels, becoz he couldnt get/afford/whatever it. Now its sitting in the lot, 2004 350Z Touring w/ Nismo exhaust & Chrome wheels for $30k.

Brembo brakes I think. Also the engine in the Anv ed. has 300 hp but with less torque. Someone chime in that knows better than me please. BEN

First thing to do is to make sure you remove the emotion from your preparation. The car you want is out there, just remember that yu need your at the price you want to be truly happy.

Don't forget to check out the NorCal buying guide I have posted on the regional>northern California board. it will help you to get the best deal.

How did the negotiating go? What did they start with, what did you counter, how much did they finance, what finance charges etc etc?

Do they charge less points on the interest rate if you put down more cash?

Default getting ready to purchase my Z

I am getting ready to puchase my Z and trying to decide between a 2005 from a dealer or getting a used 2004 with low miles.

I have been looking at the Touring package and think its the best one for me. (not sure exactly what it has other then the leather and auto seats)
The only options I would like are:

Car is silver or black
Leather interior
Manual trans.
navigation is a plus!

everything else I can work with......
I have a budget of around $28,000 , Anyone have any suggestions?
