Default Am I asking too much?!

I was just curious if 18k-19k for a 350z is unreasonable. What do you guys think? If you guys know of any deals like this in the NJ area be sure to let me know!

I imagine an 03 base model out of warranty can go near that price. If you have cash, hit the auctions and get one for $13K or so.

In my area car max sucks... last Dec I test drove a Z there (along with a g35, 330i and is300) and the Z was a 2003 Enthu w/ 18k miles they wanted 27k for it non nego... the next day I went to the infiniti dealer that had a 04 Enthu w/ 7k miles same options and they wanted 26k and I talked them down to 25k.. (btw I still think I got a little ripped and will def do better next time I buy a car)

The only way you can feel ripped off is if you see better deals on a regular basis... Just my opinion.

Either the CarMax prices online sucks or your budget is unrealistic.

Well I found a 350z for slightly under 20k. Its an 03 track with leather. It has 41k miles. I'm gonna see if I can get them to go down on it. The price that is... Clean title. Its being sold at an acura dealership.

I'm not sure why everyone is saying this is so unreasonable. I did a quick autotrader search within a couple hundred miles of my location (central Fla) and several came up around 18-20k, all 2003's with 30-50k miles on them, but they do certainly exist. A couple base '03s with a bit lower mileage as well.

And yes, CarMax prices do in fact usually suck..

i wouldnt say they suck, they are just fair. warrantied cars that have been mechanically checked and a huge company that stands behind them.

I would say more in the 19s... But yeah I guess so. I'm just expecting them to come down a bit more before the year is up since the 06 Zs are rolling in. That and this NJ winter is said to be bad one.

yeah, winter is an easy time to get a good deal on a sports car when someone can't wait until spring to sell them
