Unclear Carfax...(it doesn't show previous owner)
 

I'm looking for 350z

I found one but its carfax looks weired
it doesn't show previous owner

Dealer said it has one owner, should i trust him?

And it was sold auto auction.
and the dealer bought from auction.
is it ok?

Not really enough facts to go on to say whether it's okay or not. Can you post details of the Carfax? Keep in mind that there are numerous reports and complaints of inaccurate Carfax reports.

that means accident can be not reported

Carfax does not include information between 11/2002 and 05/2005. Certainly it did not sit on the dealer lot for 30 months?

"original dealer" may be out of state. Pennsylvania may have been the first state to report anything on it at 7527 miles.

If it looks screwy, it probably is. Avoid it and find another car. As mentioned earlier - Carfax is far from perfect.

Man, if you're even questioning it, don't get that one.

Go to Cars.com, you'll find way better ones.

The owner probly cant afford the after the number amount of months, and got repo'd, because the car is still a property of the dealer and still is the owner of the car (didnt pay off the car from the buyer), it wont have a name of the buyer (buyer confidential).

I didn't think a Carfax would show an individuals personal info? I've ran a bunch of carfax's and I've never seen any personal info abt prior owners except for dealership info. Don't think it would be too cool to have some stranger calling you with questions about a car you, more than likely, don't own anymore.

BTW, some accidents will NOT show up. I have a friend that did MAJOR damage to her car. Didn't fire the airbags, but cost her almost $6k OUT-OF-POCKET to fix it. The cops were the one's that had the car towed(she actually left the scene! Never got in any kind of trouble for it! :eek:), so they knew it was wrecked and they had to have gotten the VIN number. I ran a carfax for her, just to see. It was clean. :icon22:
