If you need a car now suck it up and pay the prices they are going for, or find a cheaper car to buy. If you don't need one now, wait and see if prices come down.

My budget was $15k. I looked at cars that were $16-$17k. Everything is negotiable.

Op doesnt negotiate haha he found one with 100k (i think) for 9k. Could talk them down to 8.5k easily and that's a pretty fair price for a z with that mileage in good condition.

sorry for you dudes.
Here in Spain the 350z market is different from yours. I mean I paid 10k euros ( like 12k dolars) for my 350 2007 300 hp 50k. Its bone stock, becouse we have an extreme ITV ( technical vehicule inspection) but car its new...
You have here 2004 70k miles for 8000 grand.
World is so different if u cross the sea
But u have aftermarket parts as cheap as hell.
Getting a nismo exhaust or nvidia its like 3k euros.
My apologies for my poor english.
See u!

$9000.
Ran NADA on that exact car, pegged at $8750 for CLEAN TRADE IN. Retail is $11400. So expect to pay about $10 to 10.5k for it.

But just keep looking, they are out there. I looked for about 6 months before I found mine. There are a LOT of overpriced ones out there, but just be patient and you'll find the one.

the prices jump around big time, and even when you finally decide on buying one, you see one that is better for the money when you start looking around. I bought an 03 with 68k for $6000 in the winter, and now it's probably worth 8,000 with warm weather coming. I feel like these vehicles or models Atleast are definetly harder to sell. if you buy one plan on keeping it till it can't move anymore or you basically lose money anyway.
