Buying a Nissan 350z is hard.
I'd love to get into the Z community and own my first 350z. This is a cash deal. Looking to be below $9000. Everything that I find.. Locally and within 350 miles is priced too damn high. People want too much for these things. 10 grand for 100,000+++miles.. That's ridiculous. Every time I THINK I find a good deal, SALVAGE/REBUILT TITLE! For the price a Clean title should be.
WHY IS THIS SO HARD... Any tips? This is what I expect.
2005 Performance Coupe 95,000 Miles in GOOD condition.
$9000.
There are 2003 Models with 140,000 miles and people wanting 9 - 10 k... WTF

They are worth whatever a seller thinks (it doesn't mean they will actually get the amount they are looking for). If you don't like playing the used car game, buy new.

Buying a modified car whose unmodified version goes for 8500 for almost double is the problem. Granted its got the money put into it but thats a specific market..

but yes they are getting harder to find in good condition...the ricers are buying them up making them hella flush and other garbage on them... and ragging them out...when you get one hold on to it because their styling is many years advanced...plus I don't like the new catfishes

the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" also " you gotta pay to play" if everyone is selling and buying them at over 10k, dont you think theyre worth over 10k haha why would someone sell you a nice z for 9k when they can sell it to another for 11k. either wait it out or step up with a better offer.

Funny you should say that. Its like if I would jump on a Vette forum and tell everybody i want an 08 Z06 for $30k but ***** that everyone THINKS theyre worth 40+. I can understand the odd yahoo selling for way too much but if everyone is selling at about the same mark then maybe you arent the authority on pricing.

To be honest, buying a 350Z is quite easy. Find the car you want and agree to a purchase price with the owner who is wanting to sell. That price may be more than the $9K you want to spend, but that is your problem, not the problem of the owner of the Z. If you want one and can't find one for sale for $9K, you are going to have to up the price you are willing to pay.

I paid 15k for my 05 perf 6speed 4 years ago with 55k miles, and dealer put in new motor at 50k
Also UP your budget OP, Zs are already being purchased and riced out/ totaled by kids, so buying one that is in good condition is (in my mind) worth more money.

Doesn't appear to be too horrible of a market near you. Spend the $60, get the unlimited Carfax reports, check vin number tags on every body panel, check for scuffed fender bolts, pay careful attention to the bumper paint, look close at continuity of body panel gap, etc.
Happy searching!
