Default Thinking about buying a Base Model Z. Good or bad?

Hey guys I'm thinking about buying this 350z base model with around 115k miles for 10,900. Maybe can talk him down a little. I just had some questions on whether this was a good idea or a bad one.

I know the base model doesn't have traction control or LSD. Does this really matter? Or will I be sliding everywhere. Like will I still be able to do some 0-60 runs and what not.

Or should I just take my time and wait to find an enthusiast model or touring? Thank you

That price is a bit high for that but personally id wait to get one with vlsd, otherwise its going to be like driving a yard cart. You'd still be able to do 0-60 runs sure, but if you spin tires you'll only be spinning one tire.

Say by some odd reason I was able to talk him down to about 9,700 or somewhere around there, would it be worth it to get it, then buy vsld separate?

No, it is not worth it.
What year z is this? It doesn't really matter, for a Base model with 115,000 miles, that price is too high.
You can find models equipped with VDC, TCS and the VLSD all day long with less miles for the same price if not lower.
Don't waste your hard earned money on less of a car.

It is a 2005 Base model with 112k miles with a 6MT. And I get what you are saying about how I can find a better one with TCS and VLSD and what not, but the thing is, they rarely come around where I am and when they do they're priced around 12-14k. Even when I do find one for 9-10k it doesn't last more than a day or two at the dealership. They sell too damn fast lol.

What trav said is true, if I were you I'd extend my search radius to 250-500 miles, you'll find one.

Also, the Base model does not come with Cruise Control if that matters to you.
