200k miles too much?

Wondering what you think of this http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/5877983538.html

I'm thinking $4K.

Too many factors which can not be seen in pictures.

What does catch my eye is his ad. Has all of the typical upsell of false or fake "premium care" terms.

First he states 20" rims and stereo which means he doesn't know or bother to name the brands so they are probably bargain or sears specials.

Says he replaced and put new tires on the front... not all around or the rear. Leading me to assume it's just a cover to explain why his rear tires on his RWD car are bald. Probably from "spirited driving". Even more so with the classic claim "never raced and always babied"

Kind of odd he mentions a scam and a specific bank scam to go further and then clearly states no self or driving with friend. Not all that odd but weird.

I would pass unless he can drop to $5k and then negotiate accordingly from there.

too high of miles for my liking.... hell i dont buy anything with more than 30k miles though

I don't like the "cant drive with a friend" statement at all. 200k is approaching the life span of a lot of things on a car. Especially a sports car. I'd call/email him and ask specific questions like what all maintenance stuff hes done over the years. IE bushings, tie rod ends, coolant flushes, cats, diff fluid etc. If he cant answer stuff like that I'd walk away. If you're the "only" owner and cant answer simple things like that you're either a lemon or just don't care, or a liar

I'm sure if he did he would include it in his ad.

My bet is the suspension is shot. The mods alone show he probably didn't even know those are wear items nor their effect if blown. Not exactly preformance focused mods leading to assume the owner probably isn't either.

Keep looking

Those wheels lower the value of the car.
