Default Yay or nay on this 350z?

I'm lookin' to get into the 350z family, and so I've been eye-ing around for some deals as I'm more or less wanting one as a fun recreational 2nd car and a platform I can build on and enjoy with the community.

Anyways I ran into this ad on craiglist: https://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto...222416068.html

yea 260k miles sounds crazy... but what do you think? maybe worth it if the guy shows hes been a responsible owner? He's got it down to 3000 as of now.

appreciate you guys.

$3000 is fair enough if the interior of the car looks good. I'd consider it knowing that you'll need engine work at some point - especially if you want to build the block/turbo/supercharge/etc.

Only if you have a lot of time, money and mostly motivation. Old bushings, shocks, engine, etc. All depends on what you're expecting to drive.

But, hey for 3K, you can't go wrong!

Eh, I don't know about this one. The miles are really up there. Not saying that a high mileage Z isn't worth it, just saying that the miles are up there, as it has already passed its designed life expectancy and now is the time when some major components start to break down, and without maintenance logs or some kind of idea what has been replaced/serviced on the car, you could be jumping into someone else's problem.. Just saying.. If it were me, I'd look over EVERYTHING from top to bottom; fluid color, bushings, rust, compression, leaks, that smoking he's talking about, and THE OWNER.

I'm going with this. ^^^

This just sounds sketch...

"This car could easily go for 7,000 but I am selling it for 3,500 because I want the money fast to buy a boat I have lined up already. I would sell the car today (11/16/17) for 3,000"

I mean, how many fools would pay $7k?? But OK, I get "marketing"; but then it states some kind of weird date (too much smokey today?) and that statement "sell it today".... too hard up and I'd suspect a car problems dump.

But do your own due diligence and decide. Just don't come back posting up dumb problems you were warned about. Hahahaha.... kidding, you're perfectly welcome to post dumb problems. Just wear your Nomex.

My favorite part was

"New clutch put in the last 50,000 miles"

**** thats not new, my pos parts car only has 46,500 miles on it...

But yeah unless your into replacing parts, and bushings I wouldn't bother with anything with over 100k miles...

I dont even have 80k and I still replaced most of mine...

if you have to ask complete strangers about a car, you already know the answer. let me guess, you are in high school and daddy has a limit on car of under $4k

Personally wouldn't even be tempted due to the high mileage. Even if you get it for a song, costly repair bills are in the future.
