Default Looking at buying an 08 350z

Hi Guys

Im looking at picking up an 08 350z. Let me preface this by saying im from New Zealand and finding a 07/08 manual 350z is damn difficult. But im not wanting to pick up someone elses problem/junk but im trying not to be too fussy either.

The one i have found has specs are as follows,

It’s an 08 VQ35HR
6 speed manual
Black leather interior
91k miles
Bose sound system
Cruise control/vol controls on wheel
Electric/heated seats
Jet Headlight sprayers

Based on this i believe its a touring model and believe it is spec'd with a vlsd as well, no brembos unfortunately. Anyway going to view it is going to cost me a few hundred dollars as its so far away, so if i do view i want to be 95% sure ill buy as well.

Ive asked the guy selling a few questions and its pretty factory (maybe even 100% factory) and has some minor paint/panel imperfections but nothing major.

On a car thats done so many miles is there anything i should specifically looking for? or is there anything you guys would do if you where in my situation?

here is a pic -

what about having a 3rd party mechanic inspect it before you head over to sign on it?

91k miles isnt horribly high if you ask me - especially if it was well maintained / not abused.

beautiful car and beautiful picture!

Thanks for the reply, yeah im considering this - i suppose its 100 or so dollars well spent to have it looked it.

Im hoping its not abused but who knows what has happened in those 91k miles in its life.

I believe the picture is from when the previous owner first brought it around a year ago. Hes sent a couple of other pictures today but its raining so they arent the best for looking at.

These cars are very bulletproof. Other than the usual things to look over check to make sure the trans shifts smoothly. Also if the car is driven like it should the bushings & shocks will need to be inspected for wear. Other than that have fun.

spend the $100 to have it inspected, spend the $100 to road-trip and drive it back home and you'll have a feel good story of the day you bought the car.

I still remember meeting the guy who I bought mine off of and driving it home ... still gives me the pee-pee shivers
