Default Salvage Nismo 350

I am looking to buy a nismo 350z and saw one online for about 11k but it is a salvage title and it was a rear end damage but it was fixed. Is it worth it to buy it? It has only 70k miles

I would never pay 11k for a 350z, but that's just me as i'd never pay 11k for any car, but you asked! So, in my opinion it is not worth to buy.

I would say it depends on whether you would plan to get rid of the car at some point in the future. I wouldn't do it because I wouldn't want to risk finding other damage that wasn't mentioned or even found by the people who repaired it. But you and I are different people so ultimately like I said I think your decision would be greatly influenced depending on whether you plan to sell it in the future or keep it forever.

The only reason to buy a nismo or any special edition car is for the future resale and possible rarity value.

The nismo s suspension, cams and the slight other upgrades from the factory are marginal to ok over what simple aftermarket mods can do to a base model. This being salvaged literally ruins the entire point of a nismo.

No point to buy a nismo for a track car, unless you plan on running a very limited stock class it’s marginal compared to aftermarket track cars being they have so much greater potential.

Same principle of why guys are dumping $100,000 into a Porsche from the 80’s for a resto. It has a cult following which gives it a collection value. If it wasn’t for that they’d be $2,000 cars like everything else.

This isn't accurate. The Nismo 350Z does NOT use the S-Tune suspension NOR does it have any different cams than the standard HR. The engine is exactly the same engine as in any HR car.

Nismo Z changes are the shocks/springs combo - the ONLY changes to standard suspension but they work very well, rear MUFFLER (only) no changes fore of the muffler, and aerodynamics, which ARE very effective, unlike just about ANY aftermarket aero add ons.

Point being...

A salvaged nismo will never be worth anything of value. And is far more limited than buying a standard with aftermarket support specific for racing if that’s the end goal of the car. Either way it’s not a viable purchase to make in hopes of getting the worth of the nismo name/line up of vehicle in this case.

$11K for a salvage? Pass on that. If you’re patient, you can find a clean, comparable one for $2-3K more.

There’s actually an ‘07 in my area listed for under $14K with 72K miles and decent mods.
