How to wash a newly waxed finish
after a fresh application of wax, judging by what you guys are saying that car wash strips the wax..what if the car gets muddy the next day...just rinse with water or...?
I think you're suppose to let the wax 'cure' for about 24 hours before doing anything else to the car.
Some car shampoos don't take off the wax. Meguiar's NXT is one of them. Go to www.autopia.org and look in the review section for more like that one.

Are you talking about real "wax" or using that term for modern products like Zaino, NXT, CrystalGuard, etc.?
Old style waxes do wash off but newer products don't wash off as easily, especially if you use a car shampoo.

If the car is muddy, then naturally you will want to rinse the mud off before you lay hands on the car to wash it, always rinse off the big loose stuff before you wash.
If you use something durable like Zaino, you will not have to worry about removing your wax/polish when you wash the car using car wash (Z-7 car wash contains the Z-2 so you polish as you wash)
