Meguiar's Gold class wax is a god-send for the chronically lazy.

:D

Took longer to wash the car than to wax it. For just $10 at Walmart and a little elbow grease.

Any tips on washing , drying , waxing?

I fall into the category of being somewhat lazy when it comes to washing the car. Do you have any recommendations on what basic product(s) you used to wash the car and cloth to dry? I used to just use water and a bath towel for my Honda Accord and then slapped on Nu-Finish. I really don't want to do this with my Z but i have to admit that i'm all into it like some other forum posters about their detail on cleaning their car. I just want to get the job done. You know what i mean. I noticed you used Meguiar's Gold Class for waxing. Thanks.

correction

Actually, a correction. I meant to say that i'm not all into the details of cleaning the car like some other forum posters.

Could you post some pictures please. I am a long time Meguiar's user and would like to see it used on the Z. I am not yet a believer in all of the Zaino talk. I would like to see pictures so that I can compare to all the Zaino post in order to justify spending 10X the amount of time waxing.

Thanks

I also use Meguiar's Gold Class wax. I used to use Meguiar's cleaner/wax in the red bottle.

For washing, I just go to the coin-op carwash stalls.

Michael.

No Zaino yet.....

I'm not sure about all of this Zaino stuff.

I use a carnuba wash/wax solution in one bucket to wash (using a soft mit) and a second bucket of clear water to rinse the mit each time. Rinse well and towel dry with soft, clean cotton towels. I then use Meguiar's carnuba wax to protect the paint finish. Detail other areas.

Seems to work for me. No one has ever said, "Gee, your car is really dull. You need to Zaino." The pics on this forum sure look great though.

Some people will pay 100.00 or more for their waxes and others done. Personally I don't think there's any reason to do so. I use a Zymol that is fairly cheap and it really brings out the image on my current commuting mobile. =) Blackfire is my next thing.. the package is a great deal.

A great shine is a great shine, whether it is Zaino, Meguiars or Pledge furniture polish. The best things about Zaino is the ease of application and removal, the protection and best of all the durability. Everyone should try different products and find out which one meets the needs of the user.
