can a clay bar be used with constant water?

can a clay bar be used with constant water?
or do i have to use a quick detailer as a lubricant?

Water doesn't really work at all, it's not very slippery. I use a 16oz spray bottle with water and about ½-1 oz of car soap in it.

you need something to act as a lubricant. Use instand detailer spray or soapy water.

Soapy water is fine, but not a great idea to use a clay bar with just water....
