door panel cleaning
What do you guys use to clean the door panels on the Z, they are harder then they look 2 clean, sometimes im thinking of covering it with black sheet of leather, to make the cleaning easier and it would look good, but for right now, what do you guys use to clean then inside?

all i have done is wipe them off w/ a damp rag. but if something is better i would like to know.
|
On the door panels, the best is probably mild soap and water. Armor all is very blotchy.

I use Vinylex. This product is made by Summit Industries, the maker of Lexol Leather Care Products. I apply it with a damp high quality sponge. The sponge works well to get below the "goose pimples". 3M makes a good plastic/vinyl cleaner too, but Vinylex is my choice. It does not leave that fake ArmorAll shine, and does a great job of cleaning and protecting.

so having learned myself the hard way that the armor all is blotchy... any suggestions on how to remove it? Just soap and water? I did try a damp cloth and that alone didn't seem to do the trick.

Armor all
With the Armor all the first application always sucks.. It needs to work into the dash.. so if it is blotchy wait a day then do it again.. If you see a differace let us know but you should by the 3rd coat it should get a lot better and all it will need is maintence.. That is just what i noticed in my previous car..

i use the 303 stuff & put the cleaner on a rag then wipe.

I just use a damp rag. Works fine.

I saw this post and thought the same exact thing when I test drove my Z..."how the hell am I gonna clean this" cuz it looked really wierd and I just knew Armor All or stuff like that wouldn't work right.
