Dissapointment: Can't get CS to shine with CG
Okay, already 5 coat of CG.
Today I was parked, and I was eating with my friends. We can see the car through the window, and my friend knows everything about CG that I put on the car. Well...next to my CS 350Z is a Silverstone colored Toyota Echo...and it was way Way WAY more shiner then my 350Z. Now I don't know if I apply CG wrong, cause I have no idea where I did wrong if I did. I follow all direction, including clay bar when I put the first layer on. I know CS is a hard color to get shiny...but my car was straight out DULL compared to that Echo... Anyone have some good pic of a shiney CS 350Z, if one existed... Or is CG not a good for light color cars... :( |
I switched from Mequirs Gold Glass (two coats) to CG Quick, with only one coat so far.
I washed with Dawn to remove the wax, then I clayed, Dawn washed again, and did the CG quick. The car is pretty shiny. My wife described the CG shine as deeper. I'll try to take a picture later today if the sun comes out. |
The CS definitely doesn't get very shiny, but mine takes on a very wet look. The shine only comes out at the right angles, with the right lighting. 5 coats of Zaino so far, and even though it doesn't glow in the dark, it looks showroom new. I have a few pics on my website - see below.
