Meguiar's Dual Action Polisher

I'm considering buying the Dual Action Polisher from Meguiar's, so I'm wondering if anyone has any reviews of it? Love it, hate it? Also, what pads have you used that work best?
Right now Meguiar's is running a "The Power Kit" special for $180. Good deal?

Here, spend an extra $20.00 and get a proven kit with a lot more versatility, more pads and some pad cleaner included.

Detailed Image is also one of this forums sponsors and offers some great deals on a daily basis.

If you are interested in the Porter Cable 7424 Starter Kit. This kit is $199 and has 9x pads (any combination you'd like), backing plate and 3x snappy clean pad cleaners if that interests you.

Edit: USN HM 350Z just beat me to it!

Whenever I go to order it bumps the price up to $248 because of the "complimentary" things. Are the pads, etc, that come with the Starter Kit already with it, or do I have to check what I want?

-- Figured it out. But that is annoying having to uncheck all of that crap.

unselect those. unless you want them.

what polishes do you plan on using? I noticed on the site yesterday that they are having a big Sale on the Chemical guys stuff.

For sure get a Porter Cable 7424. They are amazing buffers and the dual-action won't burn the paint. When it gets nicer I can't wait to buff out my Z and detail it fully!

Right now I have Meguiar's products of: Gold Class Shampoo, Smooth Surface Clay Kit, Scratch X, Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner, Deep Crystal Polish, Professional #7 Show Car Glaze (had a black car) Gold Class Liquid Wax, Ultimate Quick Detailer.

I detailed my Civic twice in under a year of owning and it took me about eight hours each time... So I'm thinking something mechanical would be very appreciated!

Any suggestions on better/more products?

I apologize for any confusion. If you click the Add to Cart button on the very bottom it will add in the complimentary items. If you click Add to Cart at the top it will just add in the selected item. This is something we are changing with our new revamped site amongst lots of other changes.

If I can help you any further with your purchase please let me know. Thank you for your support!
