Talking spring cleaning

ok guys, ive had my 07 z for only about 5 months and its now spring. I want to clean my baby really well so i was planning on doing the whole thing on my next day off. I bought a bunch of meguires product and i just want to make sure that i get the process (i moved from a jeep wrangler and those are not meant to be clean lol) so if what i read is right i should:

1. wash
2. clay bar
3. polish
4. scratch x
5. wax

Im not sure if thats in the right order or if there is anything else i need to do in addition to that. I also had a question the previous owner had a clear bra put on (the thin flim layer) and i was wondering what the best way to clean that is, and should i do anything special for it.

thanks
j

Skip the Scratch X unless there is a special area in need. Not the entire car.

Note for polish: Test polish in a inconspicuous area. Like the bottom of the door before using. Considering the number of miles on the car this should be a very “light” polish.

What kind of polish are going to use and are you doing it by hand or machine.I just did mine with the flex 3401 and Presta UCCL and it came out awesome.

For the scratch x there are a couple areas that i think a cat got on my car before i got it so there are a couple areas that i want to put that on. As for polish i wasnt sure what to use... i just read that after a clay-bar its best to polish.

Claying can cause "marring" and typically if you think you need to clay, you probably need to polish. I would use the Scratch X first on the trouble spots and then follow up with your finishing polish afterwards for an equal finish all around.
