New Stock Block APS RECORD 11.67
 
Well I raced yesterday at the Import Survival series @ raceway park in NJ and had a great day. The weather was great and I am burnt! Anyway, My runs got better after every pass. My first of 3 times trials was a 11.93, then a 11.83, then a 11.72 @119 .... Firts round of eliminations, I dialed in a 11.80 and broke out running a 11.67@ 118.84 but the guy next to me red lighted to I advanced. Next round I dialed in a 11.69 and ran a 11.70. Awesome race... The next round I missed forth so obviously lost, think it was like a 12.2 @ like 104.. haha... But I am very pleased with my 11.6 pass.. Here is the time slip...
And I am still @ 9lbs of boost...

Very nice. That is just the kit and some other mods? Very nice

This is just the APS TT kit @ plbs, with no cats, Injen exhaust, and a Ur Crank pulley.. Drivetrain mods incluse a CM stage 3 clutch and Nismo GT Pro LSD.. Tires were MT ET Streets- 26x10.5x15

Wow, very impressive! Congrats on the record, you just upped the ladder for all those APS guys shooting for you.

Just to help with my braggin rights, but do you know of anyone else with better times with a stock block APS kit? or any turbo kit? Just wondering..

Very nice times! We finished up the install on our APS car saturday and took it to the track yesterday. Best time was 12.5 but the car is only putting down 360 at the wheels with stock cats and exhaust right now. Looks like you have set the bar pretty high :)

On the dynojet, I was putting down 350hp and 335tq @ 6lbs and am now putting down 401 hp and 397 tq @ 9lbs... Also have the crank pulley, test pipes and Injen.. What were your trap speeds with your 12.5?. I use to run 12.1's @ 114 at 6lbs on the stock APS 91 octane map..

I had just posted that but I am putting down 401whp and 397 tq on a dynojet.. Car weighs about 3530 with me... And I feel that I can still get a little bit more out of the tires.. I should be able to pull 1.6's on these so a 11.5 may be in the future... I am pretty content now with my times but I would like a 11.5 @ 120... Now that I can taste it.. My best trap of the day was 119.12...

The Nismo LSD is probably one of the best mods I have ever done.... The popcorn sound is still annoying but it makes the world of difference....

I can only think of 1 guy on the boards that has run a faster 1/4 mile than you in a street driven Z. But he had just built his block, on a Greddy kit running 10.5 or 11 lbs(couldnt go higher due to his injectores iirc). He went 11.3 @ 127 -obviously he could go much lower on the e.t. I guess he was shifting slow or going easy out of the hole, although I know he was on slicks. I think you officially have the fastest stock block Z33 ;)

COOL!! haha.. I was only expecting a high 11 out of my car, but now that I have the 11.6 in my pocket, I want another tenth or two! Also, with my 119 trap, I know thw car has the power.. Just need to get my 60's down a little... The next big race coming up is the NHRA Import Spring Nationals @ raceway Park in NJ on April 30th and May 1st.. I don't know if I will make it to the track before that or not, but I will def be there... And don't forget about Z day at raceway park on June 25th. This will be a huge Z event with over 300 cars expected.... Worth the drive down and hotel rooms have been reserved...

Miles? since install? On car total?
Thanks...I'm waiting on my system now...think I'm going single, though...:) for now, anyway.
It wouldn't be too hard to make into a TT after all the fueling and tuning issues are done and the $$ are in place:)! If there's not enough HP later on.

I have 71,000 miles on my Z. With about 9000 miles at 6lbs of boost and about 2,000 miles @ 9lbs of boost and the car runs perfect.... I actually had the first APS kit in the country and have had it installed since October...

Trap was 113, never really got good traction in 1st and 2nd even with BF Goodrich DR's at 12psi. Lots of fun though!

Those are awesome times. I think its the record for a stock motor :). Makes me want to close a day to see what our car will do. I think I'll hit the track this sunday.

Good Luck to you!!!! haha.... just playing... I would like to see what you can do.. At the track, I am only hitting .60 bar. I have a peak hold guage, so it would be interesting to see what you can pull.. I hit up to .68 bar on the road... And .34 during my burnout... :-) I'm a geek... I know...

What wheels are you running the slicks on?? I'm basically going to have the same set-up as you in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to figure out what wheels to run the slicks that I'm going to get on.

BTW - congrats on the ET and trap...the 119mph trap is what impresses me the most. What were the conditions at the track?
