Anyway, I have 245/60's on a set of 15x6 Probe wheels. I would think you would be fine with 255's and maybe be able to get something a little wider. From what I gather from more knowledgeable members, wider is not necessarily better when it comes to slicks, et streets and drag radials. You want to keep the weight down and get a good contact patch relative to the power your putting down. In my case, the tires are a little skinnier then I would like, but will be fine for N/A. We'll see how they do with a 100 shot. |
Oops, Thats What I Get For Reading To Fast...im At Work And Im Not Allowed On The Internet..hehehe..shhhh Dont Tell Anybody!!! Lol

I have 275/40/17 MT DRs and they fit and work well on the stock 17in rims. They do pull the sidewall in though.

Should i go with 245 555Rs or 275 555Rs? The reason im asking is cause im pretty much stock and i think 275 would be over kill and just be extra weight right? -Frank |

wider is better with tires if you are having traction issues. dont ever read the recommended specs for tires, they are very very safe. i just put 315s on my 9.5s for my daily driving tires and they hook 5Xs better than my 265s did...
i mean there is a point where its overkill but thats why you just get more power... |
