It's more than just 7 hp. By the new SAE standards it's more like 15 hp compared to the old Z. Also don't forget the redline is upped to 7500.

How about we compare apples to apples?

Meaning the car itself.

In that case, the 07 Z tour-grand weights 3700 under your scale.

as stated the 07G sedan has a more agressive f/d
im not sure why nissan didnt go with a 3.9FD for the 07Z. its top speed would drop to about 160mph, but it doesnt need to go faster anyway.

You forgot to add some cargo, passengers, and probably an iPod to the weight.

In other words, to be fair, lets compare stock weight, without any added optional weight

Anyhow, forgeting about this subject and going back to topic, im really interested to see if the VQ35HR will respond to modifications better than the VQ35DE. Its "80% New", so im hoping it does.

Theres no doubt in my mind that the 07 Z is faster than the 06 Z.

I really like that 7500 Redline

I think everyone will be more impressed next week when I go back and pull better numbers hopefully. I want to hit mid 13.4s on stock tires, once I do that I will get some drag radials.

Nice. I will get mine to the track after break in.

I think 13.2-13.3 is possible, but we'll see.

I think thats a little too optimistic.

That would leave you in 335i range; Not saying its possible with a nearly perfect launch, but dont get your hopes up without DR's or Slicks.

Goodluck, and post your times asap.
