15x8 Weld Prostars w/ 275/60 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials

I've been puttin' around town with these for a few days and I've gotten crazy looks and great compliments. I was going 55 mph with these in the rain on I-275 and they gripped well:icon11: .

Because they're DOT, I was think of buying some pancakes for the front and riding out like that. It looks mean as hell:icon10: .

I haven't rubbed a fender yet, even over hard bumps. I think they will on a good launch so I'll probably roll/cut the fenders. They're 28" diameter!

*Old set-up sold*

I LIKE IT.... i'd put a set on my car, even though i hardly a chance to hit the track, they just look plain mean on your car..

Fairlady_z33 Jul 12, 2007 03:54 PM

how much did they run you for rims and tires

one350zfan Jul 12, 2007 04:00 PM

A little over $700 from jegs. I believe the pancakes are another $400 or so.

Looking good, Congrats

So, when should we expect to see some time slips :D

Jay..looks great and I agree a set of skinnies on the front. If the tires look as close to the fender in person as they do in the pics,I would definitely cut/roll those fenders. When you launch at 5K plus, that ass end squats....

off topic: what spoiler is that? any more pics

Jay that set-up looks familiar, looks just like my set-up.

^ I told you I had to get me a set!

I believe I'm running a larger tire though.

You are mine are 50 series, but everything else is the same. When are you going to be trying them out?

one350zfan Jul 12, 2007 05:31 PM

I'm going out the 21st or 22nd.

This will be the last time out with the 150 shot. The next day I'll start putting on the Turbonetics kit and then send it to Performance Factory for a tune. Should be ready by 9/30 for the event.

Now, we just need to figure out what size shot to use on top of that to produce around 480lbs of torque.

Oh, and still with factory exhaust!

 That's crazy! I nearly killed myself in a light drizzle with my drag radials, and I was driving slowly! If they work that well for you they're worth every penny!

bacalhau16 Jul 12, 2007 10:45 PM

Cant wait till I get my track setup like that. Its only a matter of time!

I was surprised! It was 5 o'clock traffic too:icon11:

I was pissed there wasn't enough room to see when they let loose in the rain. I think the curved tread pattern at the edge of the tire is what makes a huge difference between the ET Streets and the ET Street Radials.

The track is 35 mins. away and swapping tires was getting old. I barely drive the car so i figured these gave me the best of both worlds.

Looks SICK! I imagine your trying to stay in 4th gear down the 1/4, thats the reason for the 28" diameter. Stock ride height right?

Actually, I have Intrax springs with a mild drop(1 1/4").

And yeah, tapping the rev-limiter through the trap is getting old.
