Grinding noise from gear 1 to gear 2
My 03 z has some grinding noise when upshifting from gear 1 to 2.
so i took it to the dealer , but they just told me its normal things..
but i searched tranny n trans issuses from this forum that I find out
should be replaced it.
what should i do?

its a common problem and warrantable fix on 03s. Though the 1st to 2nd is always a biatch on our cars regardless of the year (not sure on 07-08 models though). If the car isn't warmed up (ie the transmission fluid) its a little notchy.
if anything have them drive it or you drive it to replicate the problem. If they won't honor the warranty try another nissan dealership who will. If they do say they'll replace the transmission and you need a new clutch - don't let them fool you into paying for it - that is also included.

It's 5 years or 100,000km, which ever comes first.
I had my transmission replaced one month before my warranty ended in February. 03 guys are in **** out of luck territory.

personally if you are outside warranty period, i would try to source a trans from a wrecked Z, where the trans wasn't hurt.
don't take it to those regular tranny shops that claim to do re-builds...i have heard horror stories with them. your best bet is to do a clean swap.

how can I find that which trans is pretty clean one from e-bay .
is any possible things to do without swap or replaced?
somebody told me that it should be synchronizer problems though..
maybe go to miester transmission shop ??
