Best tire prices in town? Bridgestone RE050's
I need new rears. They took a beating at the drag strip.
Anyway, the dealer is quoting me $485/tire for oem 265/35/19's (RE050) taxes in. Tirerack comes in $430/tire after conversion/taxes/brokerage/shipping. I'd sooner deal local. Or suggestions on a better tire? Thanks Brady |
Try Bramalea Tire - I buy all my tires from these guys and they always have the best prices.
Here's some info... http://www.bramaleatire.com/ |
I will need new RE050A 's soon as well for the rear. 285/35/19's these didnt even last one season. :(
gbtires are they (Samson?) guy still around |
Why the RE050? There is a lot of other options. Also if you search for 275/35 instead of 265/35 you get a lot more options as well and sometimes 275 is cheaper then 265. Try www.discounttiredirect.com their shipping and prepaid customs are generally cheaper then Tirerack.

Thanks for the advice.
I'm thinking of ordering Nitto's NT05's for the car (fronts and rears). Read some reviews which seem to be positive and Discounttiredirect seems to have decent prices. Thoughts? |
Order and let us know, I just factored in conversion and they're coming up on top all things considered. I do not think you'll get balancing/mounting so tack 60$ on top of the cost.
But it looks promising, and they've got decent variety... any others with experiance. |
according to the tire rack comparison tests of ultra high performance tires...the sumitomo HTRZ-III beat all the others, including the Bridgestones. And they're a lot cheaper. Just sayin.

edit: Sizes for 19's seem a little off the mark. |
Hey brady, try out OK Tire, they have many locations, say you got quoted less at other place name a random place around town and they will beat it or price match it :) ... from experience :)

I would suggest contacting Samson AT gbtires.ca for any quotes for tires within the GTA
Prices are lower than tirerack and beats most of the shops. I'm sure a few people here have dealt with GBtires before and can vouch. |
+1 for gb tires aka samson. i tend to order 3-4 sets a year from him when I was drifting full force and nothing but good experiences and prices. If u dont mind waiting 1-2 weeks after your order to save then I would suggest ordering from there. i'll be ordering a set of summers since all my semi r-comps are toasted

gbtires, their website is not working...
do you have their number we can call? |
^^ Emailing is the best way to get quotes.
samson AT gbtires.ca |
+1 for samson.. I will be getting new tires for my accord next month..
He has better prices on avg.. Some shops may offer lower pricing on specific brands/models, but overall he has the prices to beat. -And your not getting tires that have been sitting around for a year or more.... Shoot him an email. |
Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.
<samson@gbtires.ca>: No MX or A records for gbtires.ca ?????? |

These guys are good. I've picked up several sets from them. Out of Quebec, just one tax. Check them out. |
Well, I went on the cheap. Just got rears. Continentals 265/35/19 slightly used for $400 installed.
I'll use the extra for a HKS hipo I guess. Thanks for all your help. This forum is great. Brady |
