WTB: Shine's 【Amuse Rear half bumper】
I'm looking for a Amuse rear half bumper, Shines is preferred

^Looks like you will need to order from shine:dunno:
-Unlikely that you will find anything in the "used" market around here.....most of the new owners go for the really cheap china knock-offs..:bowrofl: |
^ Seems to be the case, and at any rate, for the price of a shine amuse bumper you wouldn't be saving much getting it used... they're what, 400ish? You'd have to repaint anyways.
Buy it new, at least that way you know it'll last until someone pops you at 15km/h in a parking lot and you shatter. (Shine Veilside kit on a long time friends car)... There are better knock-offs than shine, if you're going to get one, look around. Not trying to bash, just stating I know a guy with a personal horror story and from some of the threads I've seen in the actual interior/exterior forum, fittament has been an issue... |

^Msg 2thpwr about his shine experience.. He would have rather purchased authentic..
From what I can see.. -Seems more durable when compared to other replica's -Hybrid frp is an odd material (with tiny mounds and dimples all over)... Also looks to need a lot of prep work.. After its all said and done.. what would you save?.. perhaps a few $$? -Not worth it IMO... just save yourself headaches and buy authentic parts from reputable dealers/vendors.. :twocents: |
Thanks for the suggestions guys
since I got shine's amuse front and sides installed on my 07 black Z last year, now Im thinking of getting the rear from shines too. btw where can I get cheap amuse replicas in GTA? |
Although I don't deal with replica's myself.. You may want to contact NextMod.. They may be able to assist you.

2thpwr was indeed a bit of a horror story, rectified with a hefty additional investment.
Regarding the personal experiance - no, nothing personal, only the one friend with the 350z shine veilside... I can tell you from looking at his bumper, the impact was on a slight angle and it looked like someone had taken a bat and just given it a nice smack, it literally shattered.. there were fragments (which he collected) and major cracking around the impact area, yeilding a fractured-pointy holeish thing of about 6-7 inches in diameter. Few guys I know with STI's have nextmod stuff, the experiances are generally more positive. Fitament is always going to be an issue with a replica kit, if you browse though tons of us members have these on their cars. It depends on how picky you are... I personally would not be able to stand those spaces from the ings rep kit posted, not because the kit is ugly, but because I seem to have minor ocd tendancies when it comes to gaps/scratches/rockchips/loose pressure noises etc... i've seen *far* worse initial installations etc however. I'm sure such spacings issues could be rectified... it's just a matter of the cost benefit ratio. I'm sure Kiriller could figure it out though, seems to be rather nifty at all sorts of hands on aesthetic amplifications/mods heh. |
Im sure i can do body work, just not sure if its worth it for me to mess around with the body or really leave it to professionals, they do know what they are doing and done it for ages, me everything is a learning curve and i learn from mistakes :P

Ask Barry. |
