Well don't forget it's not just the flywheel that makes the difference, it's the size and weight of the clutch as well. There's nothing really out that is in between JWT and Tilton right now. The JWT is cool, but to me it doesn't do enough. I'm a person who could care less aobut noises, so long as i know where they are coming from hehe. BUt like i said, it's not that loud, but some people are more touchy on that subject than me, and to each their own.

Basically, eveyone online seems to want the performance of a tilton, or close to it, with no noise, and i hate to say it, but that'll never happen. Due to the design of the stock pieces, no matter what lightweight flywheel you put in, you'll notice some extra noise, JWT included. Some can stand it or not care, some cannot. But to get performance, you have to sacrafice, and that's just the unfortunate fact.
But either route you go with, both will help, JWT or tilton, just that if you want the most performance, or you feel that you hav maxed out your bolt ons etc... and still want more power, tilton is the only way to go

I really have to come down to La to try it out and see it in person. IM really tempted to get the tilton however the negatives may outweight the postive.

I'm feeling better about the tilton than I was a week ago. Someone backed up into my door in a parking lot so I haven't been driving the car much and have been driving a POS beat up truck - which drives very opposite of the Z. So when I'd get in the Z I wasn't used to it.

You gotta train your left foot to work better with your right foot so you always feel that threshold between the gas pedal and clutch.

Maybe that's how you're supposed to drive a stick anyway, but with the stock setup there seemed to be a lot more give.

I have had the Tilton for almost a year. I love the performance and could care less about the noise it makes. But I live on hills and the tilton does NOT like hills. Plus, if you are in a lot of stop and go traffic or hit a lot of stop lights, then in my opinion, the tilton is too much of a pain. When I test drove Jeff's car at Performance, I did not think it was that bad. Even after I picked up my car from the tilton install, I did not think it was that bad. But after my 8 hour trip home, I seemed to have a harder time with it. Now I am just irritated by it. So now I am looking at the Exedy clutch. Better performance than stock, but very easy to drive. Plus it will handle FI.
