Z's with VB and TC upgrades share your opinions

Anybody with VB or TC upgrades want to share your opinions for those of us that are in the market for it. Does it only help in drag? Will it help those of us that autocross or road race? Anyone care to share times before and after? Maybe even a FAQ page is necessary. Oh and can you bark the tires in 2nd...that's mostly for fun.

drag time with tc on/off

I always forget to turn of TC, so my first couple run were in the low to mid 15s. On one run with TC still on, I hit 3rd so hard I thought I lost the motor, only to turn it off on the next run and drop down to a 14.2, I felt better....

Level ten valve body here....
It will not chirp your tires whether at part throttle or wide open..
it does firm up the shifts noticeably.....
It also makes the downshifts happen sooner and harder.......
I think it's worth the money whether N/A or F/I......
If your F/I it's a MUST to avoid ruining the friction surfaces in your tranny..
But if your F/I don't let anyone tell you(including Sammy at level ten) that it will allow you to race in auto mode without hitting the rev-limiter...

No torque converter will help your shifting..it WILL help your launches as the revs will come up higher before you launch....too high a stall will make you miserable for daily driving...I wouldn't go over 2000-2500 stall and only then if I had the tranny out for some other reason 'cause I wouldn't wanna do the labor for just that one mod....

An NA car shouldnt have the problem of hitting the rev-limiter in full auto, right?

What he said. Learned the hard way.

i have the edgeracing TC. the car stays at slightly higher rpms then before. spinning tires off the start without break torquing is very easy. raised true stall to just under 3k rpms. plan on getting the VB upgrade next. shifting seems to take forever.

hope to get some numbers this summer.
