Since the FX45/35 uses the same chassis as the Z and G35, and comes stock with the VK45, I bet you could do a swap using almost all OEM parts, like mounts and wiring harnesses.
Top Secret did it with the G35 Coupe which has the exact same hood clearance as the Z. I'd say its probably a no brainer swap. Its just going to take someone with enough bucks to give it a shot.
Who is up for it?

FX uses struts up front instead of double wishbone to make room for the V8.

Guys...the 4.5 swap theory is just plain dumb. Why swap in an unsupported V8 that makes only a small amount more power in stock form than the VQ35...when the VQ35 has TONS of aftermarket support?
You'll spent more $$ getting the VK45 to 500hp than the VQ35 when it's all said and done. Motor swaps are for cars that have **** motors to begin with. The Z doesn't have a cr@p motor.

Well its probably not as outlandish as people think it may be, some people are just looking to do something different to their cars instead of doing the same mods everyone else does i.e different powerbands, torque, weight distribution yada yada. Take a look at the real road going GT M3's- I believe they are 4.0 m5 powered. Different strokes for different folks, it just breaks down to money and who has the time and ability to do the custom work and wiring ( yeah its not a honda but with standalones anything can be wired).
But of course there will be the skeptics- like the people who would ruin Forsberg's threads on his sr20 swap (which is great a idea for dropping weight on a heavy car like the z). Some people are looking for different characteristics, and for those who wouldn't mind staying NA with great tq to begin with (ie auto-x'ers) this may be something fun and custom to run with in SM or once the market expands squeezing more power out of it and being powerful at near stock reliability.
