New syncros but can't shift?
As many of you know I just had the tranny rebuilt. I have a really hard time getting the car into gear, especially when it is cold. I mean a real hard time! It is almost impossible to get it into revearse without putting in some serious muscle. When it is cold all gears put up some resistance. The shop told me that it is normal and will ease up with about 100 stop and go miles. My problem is that, will this forcing it into gear hurt the new syncros? Is this SH*T normal?

there is a guide plate on the shifter if u remove the boot and trim and unbolt this plate... u will see this triangle guide plate, if that is not lined up correctly then u will have a hard time getting it into gear.

I have to go back to the shop in ten days for an inspection. I will let the shop manager know of my problem. Thanks for the replies.

Is your clutch adjustment high enough? If disengagement is really close to the floor, it will be difficult (or impossible) to put the car in gear.
