Who said it can't be done?

Well as I have waited to do this for along time my oppurtunity has come. After along time of planning and researching we have reached the mark and passed it. 300rwhp on an NA Z with STOCK INTERNALS has been done and we put 14 extra hp on top of that just for sh*ts and giggles. Now to the mods because I know what this is going to do so I will list them first.
2003 Track Edition Z 23,000miles Crawford Plenum, Headers Xerd Test Pipes Injen SES JWT Pop Charger KJR Crank Pulley Greddy Emanage Ultimate JWT Clutch and Flywheel and last but not least the best mod of the incrediable minds of Eric at CPRace and of course Sharif of Forged Internals The car was at cprace friday and saturday for header install and retune, after install the car made 290whp, that is an increase of 18whp from the headers according to the last dyno done of 271.8whp, after alittle tuning we are now at 313.9whp and 299ft.lbs. on pump gas As far as I know and I can be corrected this is now the highest whp NA z with stock internals(cams or head work) in the US(very bold statement) I have to credit this to sharif and eric, these are the 2 most dedicated individuals to the VQ community and strive to do nothing short of the finest work on these cars that can be done. So for those few NA Z lovers, please contact these guys and see how far we can go, the have tuned altimas and have gotten more than some people have out of there Z's. And now the Dyno's |

Dude.... get tomei 268's on there ASAP!!!! Those cams with headers you could see on the upwards of 20rwhp more
|
There are some things in the works, muhahahahah
|
congrats!
ive said many times on this forum that it was possible...just cant believe you did it w/o high cr heads and cams! |
very nice

Guess their dynojet correction factor is a bit high afterall. There just is no other reason that car would be more then 25hp over anything else with those kinda mods. It can definatly be done, but it takes a lot more then I/H/E and a E-Manage tune.

+1 ^^
Not to put you down or the work they did, but no way it would do 300whp on a dynojet SAE Corrected without cams....Id love for you to prove me wrong though. |

One thing to keep in mind is the Dyno Dynamics dyno has a correction factor that allows the user to manipulate the correction scaling. This may be why Shariffs Dynos seem to be the highest reading dyno's in the whole community..I would be interested in seeing 2 things before you make such a bold statement.
1) Uncorrected Dyno Dynamics readings 2) the number which theu utilize to scale the correction factor.. Not a bash in any way, it just seems a bit high for your mods without cams and head work. |
Im dissapointed in how inflated that is. All the 400whp FI cars that roll out of there are really in the 300's, I mean this is a big inflation.
G I love my car-Id love to see a dynojet reading, Im sorry but I highly doubt you'd even see 285whp on that. If you dyno'd 300whp SAE on a dynojet Id let every Z owner kick me in the balls at our next local meet. Edit-inflated maybe is the wrong word, I should say the correction is def no where near a dynojet-just my opinion what do I know |

G I love my car-dyno on a dynojet. If you dyno 300whp or more SAE corrected Ill pay 1/2 of your dyno paypal. |

Thier correction factor is high, Im telling you.. This is in now way a bash at Shariff or Eric, I am simply curious as to the actual Dyno jet #'s as opposed to a correction factor in their Dyno.. |
Fair enough, u find me a dynojet in or close to charlotte, NC and I will go, I have no fear in thinking that anything is wrong or high on this dyno.
