Help! ECU removal on '06's...

Trying to follow technosquare's instructions for ECU removal, but just got to the part where it says to find the clip in the cupholder.. problem is, for the '06's, there is no cupholder, its a change holder or something. What am I supposed to do at this point?

Thanks.

Yeah the technosquare instructions are a bit outdated.

DON'T FORGET TO UNBOLT THE 10MM BOLT ON THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER (there was no cigarette lighter / power adaptor on the 03's)

:)

Sorry but I have no idea about the change holder, since I have an 05. But I'm sure you'll figure it out if you stare at it long enough. Get your head down in there and poke a flashlight around...

Why don't you call technosquare or email them?

Nooo. I'm not good at this stuff. Crappo. Someone has gotta know the answer to this one.

Talked to technosquare, a tech ended up telling me that there is a tab that you push up in the back of the coin holder thing. Said its on the top part. Ive been trying to do it with a pretty long flathead screwdriver but it isn't working.. can't catch any tab. Can someone give me a better description of this?

I don't know what to tell you man, if I had time I'd roll out to wherever you are in socal, but this week I'm just too damn busy

Dude, you dont need to take out the entire dash piece to remove the ecu. All you need to do is remove the 10mm bolt at the bottom and pull the plastic panel back because it is held on by clips. The coin tray thing you're talking about I got stuck on as well. I didn't even bother removing it, I had enough room to remove the ecu.

Huh.. really?
I might try that, I'm just worried about breaking or bending something..

Hell, I might just drive down to torrance and get it tuned there, just cause I might be going home this weekend. I have to figure that one out.

If you remove the 10mm at the right side of the plastic panel, the middle pops out. The only problem is the coin tray to the left, just leave it alone and work around it.

Okay. I'll try it. Thanks man.
