Basic Definition of Non-Revup vs. Revup
First, my apologies upfront if this is somewhere in the forums. Ive been searching for 30 minutes and not having much luck.
Can someone point me to a thread or post of how you know if your engine is a rev-up vs. non rev-up. Obviously it is important for the plenum discussion and best decision on potential upgrade, so want to get it right the first time.  Thanks in advance and again, sorry for asking if it is already out here, somewhere. Redline is at 7k, and they have both intake and exhaust cam advancing. |
Non rev up is when your not on the gas and rev up is when your on the gas.

Wow, i thouhgt it was only the Plenum and the ECU that were different. That's alot of stuff to only have a few more HP and less tourque then the non-rev up motors. |

Yup. The REVUP's aren't just 13 more hp, they also have more potential with stock block plus more tuning capabilities because you can tune for both intake and exhaust cams. |
the answer to ur question is....03-05 Z's have the non-rev up unless u have an 05 35th anniversary they come with revups. the 06-07's all come with the revup motor.

07s do not have the revup motor, they have the hr. Just a slight bit of difference btw the two.
|
excuse me...my mistake i thought 07's did i did not kno that

It was a joke, well partly. Down the 1/4 standard > revup. Top of 4th and up, the Revup shines though.
