I'm confused
I've searched about the break-in for the Z. Everyone seems to say 1200 miles.
The dealer told me to not go over 4500rpm until my first oil change which is at 3500 miles due to the possibility of metal shards in the oil from the new engine. So which should I follow? I'm afraid that if I keep driving my car like a grandpa until 3500 miles, it's not going to seal well or perform well in the future |
I'd follow manufacturer's recommended procedures.

I think your dealer is confused !!!!!

I'd just drive it hard from the beginning.
