Changin diff. oil and tranny fluid!

Default Changin diff. oil and tranny fluid!

Ok so ive read and read, and it just goes back and forth! i dont have time to order off the internet for the fluids. i want to just go pick them up from a local parts store and do it...so ive read to get 75W90 about 2 quarts for the diff. and About 4 quarts for transmission is this right?? thanks alot guys

For the transmission, get 4 quarts of GL-4 type fluid, 75W90 is fine. DO NOT GET GL-5 for the transmission.


For the differential, get GL-5. I don't remember the weight, check the service manual. I think it took 3 quarts.

go with synthetic fluids in the tranny and diff.also you might be able to put a alum diff cover on if u wanted. just have to drop it down though. might want it on a lift for that.

Which is funny because I have Amsoil diff/tranny fluids in my garage thats been there for at least a month.

Nissan J-Matic or anything that is specifically listed as "J-Matic compatible".
