'07 owners-How's your oil consumption?
 

I just got 3,100 miles on the clock & she's used a half quart exactly. I figure that's normal for a brand new car in the break-in period. I assume that will go down the next 3k miles. Curious how much the other '07 owners are using. Sound off!

1,500 miles and no oil usage at all.

none here almost at 2,000

Mine is fine, which is bad. My oil level is exactly at the max line (I was aiming for in the middle o_O).

How'd you break your car in and what oil are you using?

My break in: I'd call it a medium break in... used decent amount of throttle and went to 5k-6k within the first 600 miles. Only hit 7.5k after 1200 miles, though.

My oil: Break-in oil til 1182 miles, now using Pennzoil 5w30.

Had my 1st oil change bout a month and 1/2 ago and approaching 3k in about 400 miles - no problems

I broke my car in per the nissan recommendations. The oil that's in the car now is whatever Nissan sticks in their Z's. I'm changing my oil for the first time this weekend & using Mobil 1

12K, with no loss. I change it every 2K or so.

1,900 miles. Zero loss.

First oil change 900 miles. Currently 1700 and no drop.

2200 since first oil change. Still topped off.

I'm at 148 miles. I haven't checked the oil. Hmmm...I should check it tonight.

Fiist oil change yesterday. No oil burning problems.

I just had my first oil change at 3K about a week ago. No problems. They're telling me to come in every 3750 miles which I find a bit odd, but whatever.

almost at 5k miles here. got my first change at 2400 miles, no loss. switched over to Royal Purple, still no loss.

no losses to report...

Fine at 17xx miles

3000 miles and all's well

8k no problem other than the clutch

Recommended break-in, 6800 miles, no oil-consumption. First oil change at 2000 miles with Mobil 1 10-30w.

All good hear, but i didn't check the oil from the factory, just changed it after the breakin and toped her off with amsoil. 8k and she's good ta go!
