How to make a 350z faster?
I am wondering what modifications are ideal for improving the 350z quarter mile time without boost...
My friend seems to believe that the 350z's stock power level will get boring too fast and that there is hardly anything you can do to improve the power levels and 1/4 times without boost. He feels that modifying one is a waste of time... I beg to differ but need facts to back it up. Would someone care to chime in on what bolt ons gain what, what do they cost and if its not a power adder what is it? Typical N/A RWD would suggest, headers, intake, exhaust, gears (3.73, 4.10 bla bla bla) and some slicks = a pretty fast car. I however don't know how things work in the Nissan world with the VQ35... |

This is the most generic question ever. Go do some reading on the site in the various performance sections. Search plenum, plenum spacer, intake, pulley, exhaust, ect..

Do you know ANYTHING about cars????

+10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 go start reading maing. lots of good info out there and nobody really wants to go into detail about it again. even though the Z isnt designed as a straight line car, NOS is all you need. |

Take out the radio, AC, passenger seat, carpet, and your slightly chunky GF. That will help your quarter mile times. IBTL.

Slap on sticker that says,"No fat chicks allowed." That will give you a faster quarter mile time, guaranteed!

i find that rowing with my car with the windows down while racing decreases 1/4 times 1.6 secs percent due to the extra power generated.
