Default Squeaking Clutch Pedal

Hey sorry in advance if this was discussed, if anyone can point me to the thread id be grateful..

anyways, about a month ago I had service on my 03 track model, and I started getting this annoying squeak when i push down on the pedal. Anybody else have the same problem or anyone got a fix for it? Anyway the sound only happens when i push down on the clutch and its fine when it comes up. It sounds like a bad door hinge and is starting to get embarassing.

Same problem here in my '03 track. Sounds like a worn plastic bushing. I'm going to get under the dash and put some white lithium grease on all the pivot points & spring.

Good thinking. That's what I would have done first, before posting for help about a frigging squeak. What else do you think it could be, metal fatigue?

undrgnd .... Yes well if greasing the assembly had worked on the "frigging squeak" then i wouldn't be on here asking for help. This is a forum where we ask for information from other members who may have similar problems and learn about our cars. If you have nothing to contribute to this thread then just ignore it. end rant . .

anyways, thanks garage-c for the advice but I had already tried the same thing. The noise doesn't actually come from inside the car. Its actually Outside the car. I had already greased the entire assembly inside the car. I guess i'll just have to lift the car up next weekend or when i have time and try to figure it out. I'll post up anything i find. I read in another thread that it could be the "Thrust Bearing" wearing out. From reading the other thread it said that the entire gearbox has to be removed in order to get to that bearing to re-grease it.

If you had done that, maybe you should have said it up front? Anything else you tried which did not fix the issue?
What thrust bearing? In the tranny? Seriously doubt moving the clutch pedal would produce a squeak because of a bad tranny thrust bearing. Do you have an aftermarket clutch? Thrust bearings typically go because of high clutch pressures as found on performance clutches.

No aftermarket clutch, and nothing else done to try to solve the squeak but lubing all the moving parts visible. Sorry if i wasn't clear but would have thought it to be somewhat of common sense to at least try to lubricate the parts (like it was a creaking door hinge that needed lube). Also I did mention that I took it in for service for the 30k and they should have adjusted and lubed the clutch assembly among other things.

Im just trying to get to the bottom of this. When I searched through the forums all I could find was this:

and other threads that were just dead ends.

I guess I'll just have to put her up in the air this week and figure it out. Just thought somebody on here might have encountered the same problem and had a fix for it. also one more interesting thing is that it doesn't make the noise the first time you depress the clutch after you start the car, but every time after that it makes the creaking noise. Almost sounds like metal to metal thats not lubricated enough.
I'll post up if I find anything.

sounds like the pivot ball on the clutch fork, there is a rubber boot you can remove to access it but be carefull of how much lube you throw in there!

I had that problem about 3 weeks ago on my 06. They (Nissan) replaced the, crap um, i think it was called throw-out bearing. Warranty work though. I dont know how much it would be without it.

Manuals are more fun. They're more "drivers' cars" as it give you more control over the gear, etc.

I'm having this same squeak issue, except it goes away every once-in-a-while.
It comes from the outside.

Same issue in a '03 G35 coupe. The squeak defintely comes from the outside of the car. It will sometimes go away after I've driven for 20+ minutes, but will come back after the car has cooled down. I get the a squeak both with pressing in and releasing the clutch.
