I couldn't help it

I just got my new transmission, clutch & flywheel in, and was telling myself I'd baby it for the first 1000 miles. I couldn't resist, and ended up tossing the Z around a bit, no brakestands or anything stupid like that, but a bit of tire sliding & rubber burning. It should be fine right?

Won't be a problem at all.

IF I'm NOT wrong, break-in periods are for internal engine parts (valves, pistons/cylinders, cams, etc.), 'cause of the heavy duty friction between them, even with synthetic oil. Trannies are different, in that sense. DO consult a friend with more knowledge than the laymen on these threads--yeah, like me!; maybe even a tranny mechanic. Good luck, kid!

Depending on the clutch, you should have at least drivin easy for 500miles or so.... If not theres a good possibility of burning it and it could start slipping

you should be ok.

youll be fine. had my motor replaced at 30k, 1 mile from the dealer i was all over it. changed fluids often for the first few thousand miles but I drove it just like normal and I did the same with my brand new nismo clutch/fw/pp. Drive it how you normally drive it is the break in procedure I follow.
