Custom Oil Cooler Installed

Just got back from Corner 3 garage where my friend's steve and nima did a amazing job on a oil cooler install that I've been piecing together for quite some time. Basically I went w/ a setrab 19 row w/ the proper An- fittings and earls tubing plumbed into the Mocal thermostatic adapter w/ the greddy sandwich adapter being used in conjunction to accomodate the oil pressure and temp sensors wired into the defi-link setup. Both of these together provide a good amount of clearance of the APS oil pan for a easier install as well. Then a custom air channel was fabbed to direct flow into the cooler that sinks up perfectly to my Chargespeed type-2 bumper. you can't even see the cooler from the front at all, very clean IMO. Then a pretty beefy bracket was fabbed to firmly keep the oil-c in place. A additional PS cooler was added that is essentially wired into the existing PS-cooler and mounted directly below the intercooler. The thickness of the metal of the APS intercooler is very thin so additional material was welded onto the bottom so this can be attached securely. At last the methanol injection pump was relocated and then....DONE. Finished pics to follow. Also a quick thanks to Cheston for answering some lame questions I had.

I like it. Mine is higher though because of the Stock bumper. Currently using the stock Corner Reflector holes for ventilation. Added a bunch of cuts/vents to the fender liner as well so the air had somewhere to go.

nice work.....I love seeing custom work.

hmmm....

only thing i dont like is the fact that your filter element is right next to the cooler. i like the air diversion mod they threw on there for you, i have put something similar on mine in order to aid in lowering the intake charge.

^..yea its actually not that close...the depth of the straight-on shot is a little misleading. but everything together is def a glove-like fit.

word, i can understand that, i figured that was prob the case. either way it looks great, congrats .

so you stacked the mocal and greddy adapters? any issues with that? is the filter on the stock location or remote? also, what is defi-link? i am not familiar with the term.

Yea...its in the stock location..no issues- it actually works out nice. This setup helps clear the APS oil pan and gives you the necc gauge attachments. the link unit is just what the sensors coming off the adapter plugs into for oil temp and press.

So far temps have been great - slow moving traffic or aggressive street driving I see temps at 215-220, I jump on the freeway and they drop to 200-205.

If anyone is in the area, I highly recommend these guys, I've been goin here for the past couple of years and couldn't recommend a better shop . Lots of custom fabrications, and applications to get the most out of your mods.

Nah, no tuning...but they install and/or troubleshoot just about anything. I think their having a barbecue coming up pretty soon, you should roll down.
