Who's added an oil temp gauge into their Z????

I'm curious if anyone has added that in yet? Also which brand did you go through and so forth? I use dto own a euro so the japanese market for gauges is a totally diff game for me, so I'd appreciate some pointers :)

I will be in a few weeks. I'm probably going to use Autometer gauges. My plan is to add an oil temp and water temp gauge in a custom panel in the nav opening.

which series autometer are you looking at?

Audito350Z Aug 25, 2003 06:56 AM

Z-Series or Sport-Comp.... there's a million choices at www.jegs.com in the gauges section, so it's really hard to choose.

I mainly want them for more information while at the track, which is why I'll mount them in the nav opening, behind the nav door. For that reason, I'm not too concerned with overall looks... the Z-Series and Sport-Comps look the best for what I am trying to do.

SARD? Mine explaining a bit more about this Sard Oil temp gauge? Is there anything different between SARD and other brands?

Chebosto Aug 25, 2003 08:54 AM

I'm curious as to where & how you are getting the sensor hooked up. Drain plug replacement? Tapping into the electronics?

I NEED to do this soon.....HELP!:D

its nothing really permanant-- we have the lower half of the passenger side dash taken apart, and the oil and boost controller attached to the metal frame via temporary rig. i dont know where i would put the gauges yet...
