so life span of a 6mt?
Hope this question fits here,so here goes. This is my first 6mt 2005
Will take anyone's best guess. Under normal driving not kicking it in the -ss
everyday how many miles can one expect to get out of a 6mt. i've read so
many complaints about the clutch it's got me concerned. thanks

true, replaced mine at 66k, it wasn't all the way done but they were up under it already replacing the clutch pivot bolt behind the pedal so i said why not, i would just be paying for the clutch and not the labor since they were so far up in my car already...get a local mechanic to do if it's out of warranty that you trust

WOW...long time since I posted.
My tranny just "blew up". Really, the pivot ball for the clutch fork snapped off. The tranny is fine. However, I now have to have it repaired. The one small pivot ball is going to cost me at least $800. Mileage is currently 145,500. Oh, and the 6th gear syncro is going.
As for the clutch, mine stocker was fine when I removed it at 70,000. Looked new. I would be more worried about the tranny quality and not the clutch.
